Last night a few thunderstorms rumbled through the area, but today was nothing short of spectacular. 66 degrees, sunny, and not a cloud to be seen. Awesome!
It is amazing how the leaves have unfurled in the last week. Today I noticed parts of the trail were a canopy it starting to form, and it is becoming difficult to see the sky. Also, in the last day, many of the plum and apple blossoms have popped out. I ran through several areas where I could smell flowers for the first time since last summer. I ran 5 1/2 miles today just because it was so beautiful. A nice way to ring in the month of May.
Unrelated to anything, this story has been making the rounds; check out how the kids celebrate graduation at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Skinny dipping in northwestern Minnesota on April 30th is a chilly proposition, to say the least. But hey, we Minnesotans are a tough and crazy bunch! :)
Until next time,
