Hard to complain

What a fantastic day! 75 degrees, low humidity, and a good breeze. Really nice. With the exception of a freak, solitary dark cloud that passed over and spit a few raindrops, there was nothing to complain about. An ideal day

A gorgeous summer day on the trail

I had a great, strong run this afternoon. I did a full 10k because it was so comfortable outside, and so I could enjoy some additional distance on the trails.

Once again, I stopped for a “raspberry break.” Yummy! They are starting to get picked over, and you can see paths being worn in the berry patch by dedicated raspberry pickers. At least they were kind enough to leave a few for the runners! :)

I saw an abundance of wildlife as well. Birds included cardinals, robins, mourning doves, catbirds, red-winged blackbirds, a red tailed hawk riding the currents, and the osprey soaring overhead. Furry creatures include gray squirrels, bunnies, and even a pair of muskrats along the edge of a pond.

A sensational summer day!

Until next time,
